THE ONE THAT LANDED ON THE MOON by Dhiya (Hedgehog Class)

A long time ago in America there was a man called Neil Armstrong.  He wanted to go to the moon.  So one day he decided to go to the moon and he found a rocket in the cupboard.  He found his old clothes, and painted them white.  He found a small bowl in the kitchen.  He found some willies in the back garden.  He  used all of them to make an astronaut suite.  Time to go.. wo.. wo..wo....wwwwwwwwwwoooooooooossssssssssssssssshhhh!!!!!

The first tablecloth on the moon by Isabella (Hedgehog Class)

There once lived a tablecloth and his name was Neil Armstrong and he wished to go to the round round moon but he didn't know how to travel so he went to the supermarket which was a very silly thing to do. So instead he went to a Fish and Chips shop and bought Fish and Chips to make a vehicle with and he went from shop to shop buying strawberries, bananas and all sorts. That was definitely not needed! But he got it in the end and he was ready to go to the moon. Zoom! Zoom! Zoom! Whoosh!

The First Man on the Moon by Jack (Hedgehog Class)

The first man on the moon was Neil Armstrong. Buzz Aldrin was second. They landed on the moon and met an alien who was living in a crater. A crater is made from an asteroid or meteor crashing into the moon. They all became friends and played gravity football. Gravity helps you to stay on the ground. The football was flying high in space as they kicked it because there was no gravity on the moon. The football ended up in Jupiter! Neil and Buzz had very heavy boots and in their helmets they had air so that they could breathe.

My Perfect Planet by Mrs Haworth

My perfect planet would contain lots of green trees and black Labradors. Every day shall be a hot summer's day and I would be wearing shorts, sunglasses and a bright T-shirt. It would be filled with sandy beaches and warm seas. In the clear aquamarine sea would swim seahorses of various colours (my favourite animal by the way)... The fields would be full of poppies, cornflowers and butterflies would be fluttering from flower to flower. There would be no wars, no hunger or pain. Just lots of happy people.

Laser and the shiny bugs by Sam (Hedgehog Class)

Once upon a time, Laser boy wanted to go to the Diamond Planet he built a rocket. He jumped in.  10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 blast off. He went past the moon.  It was beautiful. Then he landed onto the Diamond Planet.  He saw a shiny blue bug.  They were shiny bugs. Suddenly a dinosaur stomped towards them. The bugs flew around the diamond craters and then flew inside to hide. Then laser boy  had  a  idea  and  it  was  a  good idea. He used the rocket to gather all the animals. He then blasted off back to Earth.
They all became friends.

He planted a flag and went round collecting space rocks and space dust.  They looked in a crater where a ship has landed and someone fell in it and came out of another crater.  When they walked they bounced because there was no gravity.  When they jumped they went further than they could on Earth.  Then they went in the space rocket and came home to see their family and they were heroes. They told everyone about their adventure.

The moon has lots of craters.

One of the planets is Saturn and it has 62 moons and it is the 6th planet from the sun.
Saturn has beautiful rings.
Mars has a massive volcano, the biggest volcano you can ever imagine.
Stars are made of dust and gas.
The sun is a big ball of fire and if you ever went there your rocket would melt.

At night the moon is very cold. The lit part of the  moon is pointing at the sun. The phases of the moon work in a cycle from new to full to waning. The lunar phase is the amount of the Moon you can see from Earth. The moon is 384,000 km from Earth and it is 10,917 km all the way round it. It is the fifth largest moon in the solar system. Gravity on the moon isn't as strong as on Earth so you can jump really high. The Moon goes around the Earth every 27.3 days.

Space has eight planets l will tell you them first Mars,earth,Mercury,Saturn,Jupiter,Venus,Uranus and Neptune.I am going to tell some of the facts about them I will now start now Mars is 4 from the sun.A full day on Mars would for 24 hours and 37 minutes. Saturns rings are made of millions of ice crystals joined with rocks.On Saturn days last for 10 hours and 39 minutes.Mercury's color is orange and blue.Mercury has day's as long as 59 earth day's wow long day right!Uranus has a colour range of blue.Uranus has days of 17 hours and 14 minutes.Earth is the only planet with us on it.24 hours on Earth which most of us know.Now this is not a planet and it is a dwaf planet because it is so small.It's days are 6 earth days and 9 hours.I think that's enough facts for now.Bye for now!

Space by Mrs O'Connor

Space is something that I never have enough of. My wardrobe is full to bursting. My drawers are bulging. Most of my shoes and boots are all over the floor. The garage is full of allsorts and the shed is full of water because it leaks. I wonder if there is any room in outer space for all my possessions? I would worry that my clothes would get burned if they were on Mars. Pluto is simply too far away from Earth for me to even think storing anything there. Neptune is named after the God of the Sea so it might be just as wet there as it is in my shed. Oh dear!

Saturn by Matthew (Fox Class)

Saturn is the second biggest planet in the Solar System, Jupiter is the largest of the planets.
Astronomy is the natural science which is the study of stars, galaxies, planets, moons, asteroids and comets.
Titan is Saturn's largest moon and is larger than the Earth.
Uranus is next to Saturn and orbits the Sun lying on its side. It takes 84 Earth years to complete one orbit.
Rings of Saturn were first seen by Galileo in 1610 through a telescope. They are made up of ice crystals.
Neptune is the 8th planet from the Sun, and is next to Uranus.

The First Moon Landing by Mrs Francis

I can remember the first moon landing so clearly. Everyone was so excited about it - especially as we were going to have to stay up all night! I went to my friend Linda's house and we all settled down in our sleeping bags, determined to stay awake. Linda's sister Jeanette had made special cakes with pictures of astronauts iced on the top. I can remember struggling to stay awake as for a lot of the time, nothing much seemed to be happening. Eventually, Neil Armstrong came out of the Eagle and carefully walked down the steps and we heard him say those very famous words -'This is one small step for man and one giant leap for mankind'.
